Brian Matthew presents the programme for all fans of the music of the 1960s on BBC Radio 2. Sounds Of The Sixties began in 1983 and Brian Matthews has been at the helm since 1990, bringing to the programme his distinctive voice and unmatchable experience of sixties music. This is a playlist of records for this particular week, with a tick link to the 7 inch vinyl records I may still have for sale in my collection. The underlined link of the records Title will take you to Amazon where you can usually purchase a vinyl record, cassette, Audio CD, video, book, MP3 Download or video of the selection.

BBC Radio 2 SOUNDS OF THE SIXTIES SOTS FEBRUARY 18TH 2012:

Including classic artists this week Neil Sedaka, The Seekers, R.Dean Taylor, Tommy Roe, Joe Brown, The Who, The Box Tops and on the rarer side The Anglicans, Love, The Formations, The Alan Bown, Frankie Lee, Trash and Beryl Marsden. The BBC Session track comes from Pink Floyd recorded in 1968 at The Piccadilly Studios. The Loose Connections this week has a theme to do with transport (you will need to make the connection!) and Tchaikovsky makes an appearance. There's also a record from Coronation Street's singing milkman - but what is his name and what was his connection with Telly Savalas?
